It’s a wonderful life

Christmas this year could not have been any more perfect. It being Luke’s 1st Christmas I decided to take a few days off so that we could really enjoy it and take our time preparing for Xmas day. It was the best idea I had and plan to take time off every year moving forward. We baked Nana’s recipe of Mrs. Fields cookies and they turned out perfectly.

Grandma sent Luke this adorable elf outfit and he loved wearing it!

Luke was a great helper in the kitchen and sang Christmas songs with me all day while I prepped for Christmas dinner.

Rich loves to go through neighborhoods with Christmas lights and unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any yet, however I did ask around and found the infamous Magee Ranch house so we went to see it on Christmas Eve. Totally worth it.

After we visited the lights we came home and opened our pj presents. Luke got Lakers pjs. I swear, this kid is going to claim SF as a second home, where LA is his first. I love it though. Rich is having a blast teaching Luke who to root for.

After Luke went to bed I threw on my new pjs because I wasn’t feeling so hot. Rich and I went outside to enjoy our house lights and then our Christmas tree when he all of a sudden dropped down on one knee, said something beautiful and heartfelt then proposed. It was intimate and perfect. Rich put on his pjs too so I didn’t feel stupid in the pic. Typical us. What can we say, we love to be comfy!

Although we missed catching up with the Murrays for Christmas Eve dinner, we really enjoyed our relaxing Christmas Eve at home, our first one as a family. The Niewiroski family.
